In his 20-year career working in landscape construction and maintenance, Thomas has held a wide variety of management positions, including plant health care supervisor and irrigation leadman for a landscape construction and maintenance firm. In February 2005, Thomas joined East Bay to serve as its safety manager, overseeing the company's safety program and providing tailgate meetings, on-site safety inspections, and injury investigations. Thomas serves as the company's maintenance supervisor for the City of Livermore and also brings in-depth understanding of irrigation technology to the company and helps manage the company's pesticide use, safety training and reporting. Thomas holds a qualified pesticide applicator license with the State of California and is a certified landscape irrigation auditor.
